No. Credits you've purchased or earned stay on your account balance until you spend them — there's no monthly reset or expiry clock.

What happens if I run out of credits mid-generation?

You're never charged for a job you didn't confirm. The cost of every generation, expansion, or translation is quoted and confirmed up front, so a job only starts once you have enough balance to cover it.

Can I cancel PRO any time?

Yes — cancel from Settings → Billing whenever you like. You'll keep PRO access until the end of the period you already paid for, then drop to Free automatically.

What's the confirm-outline step?

Before xDocs drafts a single chapter, it proposes a structure and hands it back to you. You can reorder, rename, cut, or add chapters — nothing is billed until you confirm the outline you actually want.

Can I use my own files as sources?

Yes. Connect Google Drive or upload .docx, .pdf, and .txt files directly — xDocs reads them in as research sources alongside any public-domain texts you pick.

What happens if a generation fails partway through?

Every job is checkpointed. If a stage fails, retrying resumes from the last completed checkpoint instead of starting over — and you're never charged twice for the same stage.

Who can see a document I share?

You choose: keep it private, send an unguessable link, invite a specific person as a reader or editor, or publish it publicly. Public shares go through a quick moderation check before they're discoverable.

Do I really earn credits back for sharing?

Yes — once a public share passes moderation, it earns you credits back automatically. You'll see the credit land in your balance with a notification.

Can I revoke a share link?

Accepted Answer

Any time, from the document's Share dialog. Revoking a link makes it stop working immediately — anyone who still has the old link will see it's no longer valid.

Which languages does xDocs support?

Accepted Answer

The xDocs interface is available in English and Romanian, switchable any time from your avatar menu or Settings. PRO's translate feature can also translate your documents into other languages.

How do I switch between light and dark mode?

Use the theme toggle in the top bar once you're signed in. By default xDocs follows your system's light/dark setting, but you can pin it either way.
